May, 2005--Anna and I were dancing with our friends at prom, celebrating our post-high school future.
May, 2010--Anna and I will be dancing with our friends at her wedding reception.
This time, celebrating Anna and Ryan's future together as husband and wife.
Since meeting Anna five years ago, she has been an incredible friend. Not only did we graduate high school together, but we also ended up at the same college. Anna has challenged me in my walk with God, we have held each other up during the struggles and trials, and we have also shared thousands of laughs and deep conversations along the way.
Two years ago, Anna told us (girl friends at college) about a special guy that she was getting to know. It didn't take long for us to see that this could really turn into something serious. It has been a joy to get to know Ryan.
This is one incredible couple. They were made for each other. Can't you just feel their joy and their love as you look at these photos?
During my 300 mile drive to VA (to photograph them), I got my creative juices flowing and thought of ways to pose Anna and Ryan. But the beauty of these photos is this: many of these pictures just happened. Yes, I guided them a bit during the photoshoot. But they are so relaxed and comfortable with each other which made my job really easy!
Anna and Ryan, great things are in store for your future. I can't wait to see it play out.
That ominous, stormy sky waited to unload the rain until RIGHT as we went inside. Whew.
Both English majors, these two love books, hence the following photos....
Check out Anna's breathtaking ring!
Knight library. This is significant for two reasons: "Knight" is Ryan's last name. And of course, libraries contain books which they are quite passionate about!
Another significant photo: their matching Einstein and Mona Lisa mugs. During the winter, I would walk into the kitchen to find Anna and Ryan sipping tea at her house--while sitting on the heated kitchen tile floor.
Ah, fall in Virginia....
Special thanks to some awesome people in VA:
-Amy [use of her books for the shoot]
-Jenny [directions to get to the nifty field]
-AJ [use of his oh-so-lovely lens!]
-Brett [for letting me bounce ideas off him]
