Lauren [For her husband]

I can't imagine being a mom of a beautiful 10-month-old boy, longing to share each moment and milestone with your husband. But you can't. Because he's oceans away, fighting for our country. My friend, Lauren, is a strong woman. I admire her.

Until recently, we hadn't seen each other much in the last few years. She got married two years ago and moved to Washington state. It was great to catch up with her this summer when she moved back to PA. Lauren contacted me, asking if I would shoot a photo session of her--as a Christmas gift for her husband. (Love it!)

The theme of this photoshoot was "cowboy boots"--typical Lauren! She grew up riding horses (they made some appearances in the photos) on her family's farm. She's a country girl at heart, and we had a great time at her session. Thanks, Lauren, for braving the chilly, Fall morning air!
