Josh + Donna [wedding]

What is now proved was once only imagined.
-William Blake

Remember the up-for-anything couple in the engagement session last spring which included a rusty, red caboose as well as oversized lollipops? If you want to check it out again, you can view that blog post by clicking here.

Josh and Donna tied the knot one week before I left for my 9 month venture to Uganda. I enjoyed their beautiful ceremony followed by a relaxed back-yard reception.

I always notice the details--not only is it my job to do that, when my camera is in hand. But it's also my personality...to look around and notice the creative little touches. I'll be honest--I think it's really important that the bride/groom's personalities and interests are featured at their wedding. Those personal touches make the day memorable.

For example, Donna is a free spirit who would rather walk around barefoot. Hence her hand-painted "no shoes required" sign which welcomed guests at the reception. Love it! Also, her bouquet was incredibly creative (an Etsy find!) and featured her appreciation for butterflies.

Dancing. I'll never tire of capturing the way a groom looks at the woman who has captured his heart...
